Bel Koz Haiti jewelry is made of clay sourced in the central plateau region in Haiti. The raw clay is broken into fine powder + its impurities are sifted out. The powdered clay is mixed with water, then dried in the hot Haiti sun to remove excess moisture. Our skilled artisans then hand roll the clay into beads used for this bracelet! The beads are painted with a variety of warm calming colors. After painted with glaze they are all hand loaded into the kiln on metal rods. Once the beads are fired, the raw clay is transformed into permanent ceramic, the glaze into beautiful glass.
